Incredible sandwich - the bread was freshly baked, the ingredients all locally sourced and grown (not supermarket veggies), with incredible flavour. We stumbled upon this hidden gem trying to get away from the crowds and we are so happy we did. Ornella walked us through all their ingredients, offered us samples and we couldn’t have been more impressed with our sandwich! Highly recommend!

Ornella and Andrea managed to make my trip to Italy truly unforgettable. “Cecca” is tucked away in a hidden yet accessible corner of San Gimignano, almost like a secret waiting to be discovered. The first thing I noticed when approaching this incredibly charming little shop was Ornella’s warm smile, full of kindness and genuine welcome, as if she were greeting her own family.
Inside, I was introduced to their richly flavoured homemade sauces, delicate honey, exquisite wine and a traditional Tuscan cheese so irresistible that I simply had to buy it. Each bite carried the taste of Tuscany itself.
Then came the sandwiches Ornella prepared for us. Crafted with some of the finest ingredients you’ll ever find in Italy and with the love she put into making them, they became the most delicious thing I have ever tasted.
“Cecca” has become the reason for my wish to return to Italy, a wish I truly hope will come true. ❤️Risposta del proprietario

Sandwich made with LOVE - we had the most amazing Tuscan sandwich here and the staff (Family operated) was super friendly! It’s a bit away from the crowded area but definitely worth a visit.

This was the most incredible restaurant in town. The lovely couple running the shop handpicked each product for local Tuscan quality amazing service and quality. Unbeatable price and memorable taste. Everyone visiting San Gimignano should get there sandwiches here.

One of my favourite experiences in San Gimignano was stumbling across this cute little shop with its fabulously friendly owner. I adored her showing us everything she makes and it’s all lovely, fresh and homemade. I hope this business keeps thriving and maybe one day if I somehow end up back there I’ll be able to get a pot of the salsa verde (which is lovely but the pots were sold out when I went).

It’s not a regular sandwich… it’s the SANDWICH. One of the best I’ve ever had. And the owner — a very nice lady with a perfect sense of humor. Don’t think — just go and grab a sandwich :)
